While many Austin-ites are focused on the SXSW frenzy that begins next Friday – there is a special treat in store for local nonprofit techies: the first ever #NTCATX, a technology workshop for nonprofits.
Hosted by the Austin 501 Tech Club,, an affinity club of the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN), #NTCATX will take place from 1 – 5 pm Friday, March 9th at the West Pickle Research Building on the UT Pickle campus; followed by a 501 Tech Club sponsored Happy Hour.
Register for #NTCATX here.
The event will feature a keynote presentation by Rachel Weidinger, Upwell Project Director, Ocean Conservancy; as well as breakout sessions covering a range of social media and online fundraising topics. Session presenters include nonprofit industry experts Amy Sample Ward, Membership Director & Sarah Janczak, Community Manager, NTEN; Vanessa Rhinesmith, Director of Outreach, Start Some Good; and Erin Shy, Senior Director, Product Management, Sage.
There will also be a panel of community technology leaders including Erin Brackney, Manager, Research, Evaluations & Texas Connector, OneStar Foundation, Lanie Duro, Managing Director of Community Technology & Training Centers, Skillpoint Alliance, and Joe Straubhaar, Amon G. Carter Centennial Professor in Communications, University of Texas at Austin. The panel will be discussing two great projects happening right now in Austin: Austin Connects’ Community Technology Map & Directory and the Texas Connector.
Don’t miss this chance to see some of the best NPtech SXSW has to offer without the hefty price tag! #NTCATX registration is $25 for NTEN members/$35 for non-members.
Special thanks to our Austin partner, Texas Association of Nonprofit Organizations.
